Smaller coins have been catching up this month: Since the start of September, the combined value of altcoins outside the top 10 has risen by more than 10%, while Bitcoin’s share of the market eased.
This list looks at eight coins trading under ₹50 where usage or institutional interest keeps building: XLM, TRX, POL, ADA, ONDO, ALGO, SEI, and KAS.

- The market looks to be rewarding coins with a fresh reason to exist, especially payments, tokenization, and faster infrastructure.
- Capital may keep rotating toward projects with visible usage, but names with large remaining supply or upcoming unlocks could struggle to hold gains once attention cools.
- October could be a filtering month: the strongest names are likely those where September’s narrative (tokenized assets, stablecoin volume, speed upgrades, new partnerships) starts showing up in sustained activity.

Methodology: Every coin here trades under ₹50. We then looked past the price tag: how much of the supply is already in circulation, whether a large token release is due soon, and whether real usage or partnerships grew recently. A rising price alone never qualified.
1. Stellar (XLM): Tokenized Assets Up 360% This Year to Nearly $4 Billion
Stellar was built to send money across borders cheaply, and institutions now use it for much more. The value of tokenized assets such as government bonds and credit funds on Stellar has grown about 360% this year to nearly $4 billion.
Franklin Templeton and Ondo are among the issuers, and DTCC, which settles most US stock trades, plans to bring tokenized shares and Treasuries to Stellar in the first half of 2027. XLM’s price has lagged this growth so far.
2. TRON (TRX): $94 Billion in USDT, More Than Any Other Blockchain
If you have ever sent USDT, there is a good chance it travelled on TRON. USDT on TRON has climbed above $94 billion, more than on any other blockchain. In the second quarter alone, the network settled over $2 trillion in stablecoin payments. Low fees keep it popular for everyday transfers across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Most of that activity is simple payments, though, while use of lending and trading apps on TRON has been shrinking.
3. Polygon (POL): Two Big Fintech Stablecoins Launched Here in 2026
Polygon has reinvented itself as a payments network, and well-known fintech names keep arriving. In August, Revolut launched EURR, its euro-backed stablecoin, on Polygon, weeks after PayPal’s PYUSD went live there.
Card issuers and cross-border payment firms already run on the network. POL pays for network fees and secures the chain. There is no fixed maximum supply, so usage has to keep growing faster than new POL enters circulation.
4. Cardano (ADA): Over 20% Weekly Gain, With 82% of Supply Already Out
Cardano’s July upgrade cut the cost of running apps on the network and prepared the ground for Leios, its next speed upgrade.
Activity is picking up, too: FC Barcelona launched a fan platform on Cardano on September 25, and ADA rallied over 20% in a week. About 82% of all ADA is already circulating, which limits future dilution. One setback: Grayscale dropped its planned Cardano ETF in August, delaying easier access for big investors.
5. Ondo (ONDO): $1.19 Billion in Tokenized US Stocks Across 225,000 Holders
Ondo lets people outside the US hold tokens that track shares like Tesla and NVIDIA, with no US brokerage account needed. Ondo Stocks now holds about $1.19 billion across more than 450 assets, with roughly 225,000 holders.

In September it went live on near.com, putting it in front of a fresh set of users. ONDO mainly gives holders a vote on the platform’s direction, and how much the token gains from this growth is still being worked out.
6. Algorand (ALGO): Quantum-Safe Upgrades Start in 2026, Full Rollout by 2027
Future quantum computers could crack the security most blockchains rely on today, and Algorand is preparing early. Its foundation has set out a plan to make accounts, wallets, and the network itself quantum-resistant by the end of 2027, with first upgrades rolling out this year. Google’s quantum research team has already cited Algorand as a working example.
More than 90% of ALGO is in circulation. The open question is whether this head start attracts more users and apps.
7. Sei (SEI): Daily Users Doubled to 1.5 Million in Just Four Months
Sei is built for fast trading apps, and its biggest upgrade is already reaching users. Since early August, the first parts of Sei Giga have been live on the main network, with the full upgrade aiming for confirmations in under 0.4 seconds. Earlier this year, daily active addresses doubled in four months to over 1.5 million. The catch: a large share of SEI’s supply is still to be released, so check the unlock calendar before buying.
8. Kaspa (KAS): 96% of Supply Already Circulating, No Big Unlocks Ahead
Kaspa is a mined network like Bitcoin, only much faster. It never sold tokens to insiders, and more than 96% of its total supply is already in circulation, so no big unlocks hang over it. In June, the Toccata upgrade added smart contracts and native tokens, opening the door to apps. Usage is the part still to be built: daily sending addresses remain in the low thousands, well below last October’s peak.
Final Thoughts
October may be less about chasing whichever cheap coin moves fastest and more about seeing which stories keep gaining proof. Stellar and Ondo have tokenization growth to build on, TRON and Polygon have payments activity to defend, while Sei, Cardano and Algorand need upgrades to translate into stronger usage. Kaspa is the opposite case: supply looks relatively clean, but adoption still has to catch up. The decisive signals will be sustained network activity, continued capital inflows, successful upgrades, and whether new supply starts weighing on demand.
FAQs
This list covers XLM, TRX, POL, ADA, ONDO, ALGO, SEI, and KAS, all trading under ₹50 with growing networks behind them. Treat it as a research starting point, not a buy list.
Usage, partnerships, and token release schedules shift quickly. A coin that qualified last month may slip if activity stalls or a large unlock approaches.
Market cap values only the coins in circulation today. FDV, or fully diluted valuation, values every coin that will ever exist. A big gap means more supply is still to come.
When locked coins are released, early holders may sell some of them, which can push the price down for a while. Knowing the dates in advance helps you avoid surprises.
Yes. Buying and holding crypto is legal in India. Profits are taxed, trades carry TDS, and exchanges must report transactions to the tax department.
Not necessarily. A ₹3 coin with billions of tokens can be worth more in total than a ₹300 coin. Compare total value and supply, not the price per coin.
The same as all crypto: a flat 30% plus 4% cess on profits, with only the purchase cost deductible. Losses cannot be set off against other income.
Yes. Stellar’s tokenized assets have grown about 360% this year while XLM’s price has lagged. Growth helps a coin most when using the network requires holding it.
